TRIZ-based creative thinking empowerment education offered

 

 

JNU IP Education Center (Directed by Kim, In-jung, a Biotechnology professor), LINC+ Group (Group Leader Kang, Cheol-woong), and Biomaterials major jointly held ‘TRIZ-based Creative Thinking Empowerment Education’ at the College of Applied Life Science on Oct. 30th, Nov. 5th, and Nov. 13th.

 

The purpose was to apply necessary methods in deriving ideas and using procedures for creative ideas through TRIZ, a basic theory in the latest intellectual property field, and to foster capabilities to select, and evaluate proper alternatives through practicing.

 

During the event, 11 students from JNU whose hours of education exceeded 80% of the entire 24 hours completed the course.

 

Han, Yoo-sin, CEO of Handioti, co., Ltd., with TRIZ Level 4 license and who is in charge of the whole curriculum emphasized the importance in changing viewpoints while explaining the basic concepts of TRIZ. Also, in the team practice, the CEO educated a research-specific problem-solving method using the ideas of TRIZ.

 

Kang, Cheol-woong, who planned and operated the event said, “The event was to nurture creative talents who are systematically equipped with analytical, fusion-minded, and efficient ways of thinking. I expect the education will be of help in rearing creative talents who will lead future Jeju.”

 

Kim, In-jung said, “I hope students would learn TRIZ to enhance their research and task-solving abilities. I also hope this will lead to IP applications in the future. Our connection with LINC+ Group will maintain so that we can plan and operate more programs in liaison.”
