Participants committed to research on new energy industries

Jeju National University’s Talent Incubation Center for Advanced Energy Industries held the Open Lab event for potential graduate program applicants on Friday (Nov. 12).

The tour program was offered to introduce the participants to the school’s sixteen laboratories related to the state-led Brain Korea (BK) 21 project, as well as their education track programs.

The introduction of the labs included the information on the educational and financial benefits provided for graduate researchers.

During the event, those graduate members of the center provided the visitors with a mentoring service while introducing their labs and recent research topics.

Kim Gyeong-yeon, director of the university’s Education Innovation Committee, expected the introductory program will help broaden the horizons of promising researchers in the field of emerging energy industries.

Oh Dong-min, an undergraduate participant, responded after the tour that the program was impressive in that the researchers study core eco-friendly, carbon-neutral technologies.

The center plans to continue similar events to secure talented intellectuals for further advancement of energy industries.

It will also offer other courses, including special lectures on the latest research trend, given by globally renowned speakers.
