Prof. Kim Bum-suk awarded KWEA academic award

Kim Bum-suk, a Jeju National University professor, has been awarded the Academic Award presented by the Korea Wind Energy Association (KWEA).
KWEA consists of colleges, industries, and other related institutes, established in 2000 with the aim to lead the carbon neutral shift of Korean society. Since its foundation, the society has held annual conferences twice every year and published Journal of Wind Energy. It also selects a member with the greatest annual contribution to research and industrial development as the winner of its Academic Award.
This year, KWEA presented the award to Kim as recognition of his contribution to the academic advancement of the wind energy studies. Kim has chaired the editors of the KWEA journal since 2020. The award ceremony was held during the 2021 KWEA Fall Conference in Gwangju.
Giving the acceptance speech, Kim said he is honored to be announced as the winner for two consecutive years. He also expressed his ambition to help the KWEA make contributions to the nation’s shift to a carbon neutral society.
