제주2어린이급식관리지원센터, ‘어린이집-가정 연계교육’ 실시
Children meal management center commences daycare-household education

Jeju Children’s Meal Management Support Center No.2 (Director Kang, In-hye, Professor of Food Science & Nutrition) announced on Nov. 26 the commencing of ‘Photo Contest for Daycare Center-Household Education.’

The contest was to advertise ‘visiting education for hygiene and nutrition’ which were conducted for registered daycare centers.

In the contests, there were 173 parents who part. Participants received sketchbooks, jump ropes, children’s chopsticks, and toothbrushes.

From March to November, parents were able to sign up for 1) making paprika money bank, 2) calendar for recording brushing teeth, 3) making beanstalk crowns and bracelets, and 4) making soft soaps. The center provided 6,135 cases of data in the meantime. For daycare center educations, there were 1) plant observation logs for paprikas, and making paprika pizza, 2) audiobooks for making habits of brushing teeth, 3) tooth model and a notification board for introducing tooth-brushing sequence, 4) growing kits, and 5) notification board for introducing hand-washing activity. There were 316 cases provided.

Parents who took part in the project said, “The data and materials we received were used to draw some interest from our children after they were educated at the daycare center. They now accept the activities as meaningful.”
