ABC interview with climate specialist Prof. Park Sang-ryul aired

Park Sang-ryul, professor in the Department of Marine Life Science at Jeju National University, spoke with Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on Nov. 21.

The ABC interview was broadcast on the company’s program “Follow Korea’s oldest free divers on their underwater treasure hunt”.

During the interview, the marine life scientist introduced the rapid climate change observed on Jeju Island and the resulting change in the regional marine ecosystems as well as its impacts on haenyeo, or the island’s female divers.
