GREAT 2021 Career Talk Concert on development assistance held

Jeju National University announced on Nov. 29 that it held ‘GREAT 2021 Talk Concert on International Development Career’ to improve students’ international competitiveness. The concert was held at Lotte City Hotel from the 26th to 27th in commemoration of the Development Cooperation Day (Nov. 25).

The event was jointly held by JNU Regional Leading University Development Group, International Development Cooperation Center, and Institute of Peace Studies. About 80 students from JNU and Jeju Tourism University took part in it.

Various lectures were provided on job introduction, and history of companies and agencies by incumbent officials in the field of international development cooperation (international organization, public agency, NGO, and social enterprise).

Ko, Eun-saeng, a junior from Business Management of JNU said, “It was helpful that I was able to listen to incumbent officials in the field of international development cooperation.”

An official from Jeju International Development Cooperation Center said, “I hope the event would serve as an opportunity for the youth in Jeju to be interested in and advance into the world of international development cooperation.”

Jeju International Development Cooperation Center serves as a hub of Official Development Assistance in Jeju, based on the memorandum of understanding between Jeju Special Self-governing Province, Korea International Cooperation Agency, and Jeju National University. The center is established in JNU for the globalization and activation of ODA in Jeju.
