Faculty of Data Science for Sustainable Growth performs Open Lab

JNU’s Brain Korea 21 (BK21) Faculty of Data Science for Sustainable Growth and Tourism, Business and Economic Research Institute (Faculty Leader and Director of Institute, Professor Kim, Min-cheol) performs an open lab event on Dec. 5 to introduce educational tracks and support programs to undergraduate students.

In the event, the curriculum and benefit for graduate students in liaison with BK21 plan will be introduced. Also, the open lab event will accompany explanations on the systems and direction of studies which are possible at the research institute.

The faculty consists of 14 professors from Tourism Development, Management Information Systems, and Economics majors as well as from the Department of Fashion and Textiles and Faculty of Human Ecology and graduate students of various backgrounds.

Students within are publishing their studies that aim to resolve various social issues, gaining support from the Graduate School Innovation Plan for activities.

The group also establishes internships and university-industry linked programs with Jeju Technopark, Jeju Tourism Organization, Kyunghee University Smart Tourism Center and other relevant institutions.
