Food poisoning prevention kits provided for day cares

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Children’s Meal Management Centers of Jeju Special Self-governing Province entrusted to the operation of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Jeju National University announced on Dec. 1 that food-poisoning prevention kits were provided to 433 daycare centers that are registered.

As there are more direct and indirect contacts due to clustered living spaces in the wintertime, the possibilities of coming down with food-poisoning increases. The prevention kits were provided for the same reason.

The food-poisoning prevention kits include: 1) chlorine disinfectant; 2) chlorine test paper; 3) timer; 4) method for manufacturing disinfecting liquid and guide magnet; 5) measuring cup; and 6) scale mark stickers.

Director Chae of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation said, “We will do our best to foster favorable and safe environment for our children to eat. This will be done by balanced nutritional distribution and safety checks.”
