Symposium on ‘education after COVID’ held
Educational Science Research Institute (Director Kim, Il-bang), College of Education, Center for Future Education (Director Kim, Seong-baek), and Elementary Education Research Institute (Directed by Lee, Ho-su) to hold the symposium online from Dec. 3.
JNU’s Educational Science Research Institute (Directed by Kim, Il-bang) holds ‘2021 Winter Joint Symposium’ online from 2pm on Dec. 3 along with College of Education, Center for Future Education (Director Kim, Seong-baek) and Elementary Education Research Institute (Directed by Lee, Ho-su). The main theme is ‘Education after COVID.’
The symposium is divided into Sessions 1 and 2.
The first session will have presentations on: 1) organically connecting objectives and evaluations in social studies subjects: based around the middle school geography in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum; 2) Survey cases on university students about taking non-contact online classes; and 3) future education and the development of hypermodern psychological science.
The second session will have presentations on: 1) the value of future education in Jeju by looking over the history of education; 2) the direction of higher education in the future: service-learning and the community-based partaking education; and 3) suggestions on future English education through the analysis of basic English skills.
