Forum for Council of Presidents of National and Public Universities held

 

 

CPNPU on Dec. 2, and CPFNU on Dec. 3-4.

 

Presidents of national and public universities rally in Jeju to discuss matters at hand.

 

The CPNPU (Chaired by Kim, Soo-gap, President of Chungbuk National University) holds its ‘4th Council of the year 2021 at Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel, Jeju-si on Dec. 2.

 

The CPNPU consists of 40 universities including national universities, teachers’ colleges, and public universities.

 

The CPNPU will discuss: 1) improving institutional settings for the research and education cost; 2) increasing supporting plans for talents to induce regional industrial innovation; 3) deregulation for international students, such as visa exemption; and 4) plans to improve presidential election of national universities.

 

This will be followed by the ‘3rd Council of the Presidents of Flagship National Universities (CPFNU, chaired by Song, Seok-eon, President of JNU)’ of the year 2021, and the ‘Council of Chief Directors of National University Hospitals’ in the same place on Dec. 3-4, as well as the

 

The CPFNU consists of Kangwon National University, Gyeongbuk National University, Gyeongsang National University, Pusan National University, Seoul National University, Chonnam National University, Chonbuk National University, Jeju National University, Chungnam National University, and Chungbuk National University as members.

 

The CPFNU will discuss: 1) increased academic exchanges between flagship national universities; 2) increasing the recruitment of forestry officers; 3) building research animal labs; and 4) deregulation for international students.
