JNU students awarded three prizes at Korea Student Advertising Contest

 

 

Students taking the marketing strategy course in the Department of Business Administration were awarded in three categories of the 2021 Korea Student Advertising Contest (2021 KOSAC), Jeju National University announced on Friday (Dec. 3).

 

The 2021 KOSAC was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Federation of Advertising Organizations. The contest was held under the theme of “Projects for Local Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Business Owners to Overcome the COVID-19 Crisis”.

 

Of the 714 team participants from 128 universities, 16 teams were selected through document screening and six regional preliminaries and gave the final presentations on Nov. 29 in Seoul.

 

One of the JNU teams named “Girls from the Tamna Kingdom” received the Best Idea Award by proposing a non-contact farming experience platform for local citrus farmers who need new approaches to tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, this proposal received the first prize in the Jeolla-Gwangju-Jeju preliminary, and the Idea Award is the third prize of the 2021 KOSAC.

 

The other teams “JeMin” and “Hayeong” advanced to the regional preliminary final round by sharing their ideas about creating a smartphone application for rural guesthouses and an online platform for the Jeju Five-Day Folk Market, respectively.
