JNU teams win encouragement prize at citizenship teaching contest

Two teams of Jeju National University students in the Department of Ethics Education won the Encouragement Prize at the 2021 Citizenship Education Contest.

The Sharing team (advised by Prof. Kim Dong-chang and Prof. Kim Tae-kyeong) presented a teaching model under the theme of citizenship education related to artificial intelligence literacy. The other team named You & I gave a mock class on media literacy and citizenship education.

The contest was held at Korea National University of Education on Saturday (Dec. 10), inviting teacher trainees from across Korea. Of the 20 entries for the preliminary contest, 10 teams advanced to the final round. The winners were determined based on their mock classes and syllabuses.
