BMI Korea contributes 10 million won to JNU Development Fund

BMI Korea Co., Ltc. will contribute 10 million won to the Jeju National University Development Fund for the development of the Jeju Pharmaceutical Research Institute, the university’s on-campus center for studies in pharmacology.

BMI Korea specializes in manufacturing complete pharmaceuticals. The company was certified in 2020 as an innovative pharmaceutical company by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It manufactures and sells not only chemosynthetic medicines but also other various types of biomedicines. Recently, it is building an mRNA vaccine manufacturing facility in its Jeju-based factory.

BMI Korea and the Jeju Pharmaceutical Research Institute recently signed a memorandum of understanding for the expansion and strengthening of industry-academic exchanges and cooperation.

Heo Yong-gu, head of the company’s manufacturing headquarters, expected the recently opened Jeju Pharmaceutical Research Institute to play a pivotal role in the promotion of pharmacological specialists. BMI Korea will actively cooperate with the institute for the vitalization of local pharmaceutical and bio industries, he added.
