Daum Corporation provides annual scholarships to Daum Corporation supports JNU computer science students through training scholarships

Daum Corporation (Choi Sae Hoon, CEO) continues with annual 20 million won scholarship program offering stipends to 12 Computer Engineering and 8 Computer Education Department students.

Computer engineering training program 'DaumTrack' has provided scholarships to  a significant number of students in JNU Engineering Education Center for seven consecutive years. The education track resulted from the collaborative agreement between JNU College of Engineering and Daum to train students needed by the latter.

Daum has co-implemented the training program with Jeju National University Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation since April 30, 2007. The program marks its seventh year anniversary this coming June.

The Daum Track program also involves participation of the corporate staff as adjunct professors in the training of future employees together with JNU computer engineering faculty members. It has gained the industry's recognition as a benchmarking example of industry-academic collaborations. In 2011, the program was picked for its merits at the 2011 Industry-Academic Cooperation Expo.

Since its inception, 70% of the students completing the track course gained employment in the computer science and telecommunication areas.
