It's official Huh Hyang Jin is 9th President!

For the first time in JNU history President Huh Hyang Jin will serve the 9th presidency of the university, succeeding himself for a second 4 year term which began on February 17, 2014.

The presidential appointment officially confirmed when ROK President Park Geun Hye approved the appointment yesterday (February 19, 2014). 

President Huh’s campaign agenda for his second term include △strengthening of research potential on a global level △‘7+1(one semester overseas)’ program △improved employability of graduates on a national level △200 billion won fund raising for research and development projects △expanded overseas exchange student program △raising of 150 billion won for university development △promotion of affiliation with Jeju Science Park for industry-academic disciplinary fusion △salary increases for faculty and staff by raising 20 billion won △preparation of relocating Teachers College to Ara Campus △establishment of Asia and Pacific Islands universities network.
