The award ceremony was held at the Government Complex Sejong Convention Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and the Korea Science and Creativity Foundation. Chung received the prize presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister along with the prize money worth 2 million won.

Serving as the Jeju branch head of the Korean Nursing Association’s Next Generation Nursing Leaders, she was recognized for her dream and a spirit of service and consideration for the local students. Her contributions include providing mentoring services for middle and high school students in the Jeju region.

Previously, she was selected as the winner of the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation’s funding program for promising undergraduate students. She also won the Korea Nursing Association’s Mental Nursing Association Presidential Award (Excellence Award) and the Outstanding Volunteer Award hosted by the National Mental Health and Welfare Project Support Group.
