Rehab Team awarded Grand Prize at capstone design contest

Jeju National University’s Leading Industry-Academic Cooperation (LINC+) Development Project held the 2021 Fall Semester Capstone Design Outcomes Sharing Contest both online and offline.

According to the university, Rehab Team won the Grand Prize Award for the idea of manufacturing non-wood-type pulp using local seaweeds, the university announced on Dec. 29.

The team received favorable reviews from the judges for its differentiation from the existing items on how to utilize unnecessary seaweed found along the coast of Jeju Island.

The event attracted 120 team participants (including more than 490 people) under the slogan “Youth, Add Value Together!”

The Best of the Best Prize was presented to Ki-Ki Team (Topic: Contact-free children’s education amid the COVID-19 pandemic) and Planty Pot Team (Topic: Safely movable pet plant transporter), and Think Farm Team (Topic: Nutrient solution supply control system).
