JNU alum Ko Soo Yeon plays flute at Carnegie Hall stage
Ko Soo Yeon, JNU graduate (2003; Professor Huh Dae Shik, mentor) is scheduled to perform a flute recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City next Sunday (April 20, 2014).
She earned the right to perform at Carnegie Hall stage by winning the 2013 American Protege International Flute Competition.
After having graduated from Jeju National University, she went on to earn a Music Masters degree at North Texas University and to Indiana University where she completed a concert players program. She plans to begin her doctoral study at the same university this Fall.
During her studies overseas, she won the top prize at 'TMTA Young Artists' Concours and second place in 'MTNA Young Artist' Concours.
