Groundbreaking ceremony held for Ultra-modern digital library annex

A new digital library equipped with ultrafashionable cultural complex space will be available on the campus in the near future.

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new digital library annex to the main library was held near the latter earlier today (March 27, 2014).

The construction project will cost over 14 billion won for the annex of 7000㎡covering basement and three storey floors.

The new building will house books for preservation, general reading room, PC Zone, multimedia data room, multimedia instruction hall, media production room, Notebook Zone, information search room, Group Study Room, Seminar Room, periodicals room, etc. Construction is expected to be completed by October 2016.

In a ceremonial address at the ground breaking event, President Huh Hyang Jin commented that the new facility will provide high quality service for both students and faculty as well as for Jeju provincial residents.
