Scholarship stipend to be paid to each JNU student will average out to the amount of 234.4 million won, compared to the last year's 217.8 million won, an increase of 166,000 won.

This academic year's scholarship stipends amount to 24.65 billion won comprised of 18.756 billion extramural and 5.893 billion intramural sources. The total amount translates to average stipend of 234.4 million won per student and is 62% of the total tuition per person this year of 378.24 million won.

Availability of the scholarship stipends at 62% of the tuition payment amount effectively achieves the governmental mandate of a 50% tuition policy, greatly helping the students' parents with their economic burdens.
