Honorary Doctorate of Public Administration to be bestowed on Governor Woo

Governor Woo Geun Min of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will be honored with an Honorary Doctor of Public Administration degree at a conferment ceremony next Tuesday (June 10, 2014).

Governor Woo ends forty some years of illustrious public service career including five term governorships when he leaves the current position next month.

Among many accomplishments to his credit are establishment of Jeju international free city and its development plan, UNESCO designations of natural scientific heritage sites, and 10 million tourists era. He was instrumental in having the 4.3 incident named a national memorial.

In recognition of his numerous contributions and achievements as a public service administrator, the university bestows an Honorary Doctor of Public Administration on him next Tuesday.
