Professor Park Se Pil gets Wujangchoon Project grant renewed
Professor Park Se Pil and his team of researchers at JNU Stem Cell Research Center were notified of three year renewal of his Wujangchoon project administered by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Rural Development Agency. Renewal was successful as a result of interim progress and its evaluation. Professor Park's team will get additional 360 million won for the three renewal term.
Rural Development Agency inaugurated the Wujangchoon project with 39.9 billion won for 10 years (2010-2019) to support both basic research and industrial development works for globally competitive outcomes. In addition to Jeju National University, Seoul National University, Kunkook University, Korea University, and Yonsei University participated in the project each with 5 billion won for 5 years.
Under the Wujangchoon project, the JNU stem cell center has been engaged in research to develop a swine model for Alzheimer's disease.
