Korean Language and Culture Center presents prizes to winners of Jeju Vernacular Speaking Contest

The Vernacularism Center (Kang Young Bong, Director) of Jeju National University Korean Language and Culture Center presented Grand Prize each to 5th grader Kim Ji Young (Song Dang Elementary) and another 5th grader Lee Eun Yo (Song Dang Elementary) at the 2014 Jeju Vernacular Speaking Contest. Each winner received a presidential certificate with 300,000 won stipend.

The contest was held in College of Humanities Hall #2 in commemoration of JNU’s 62nd anniversary.29 Jeju province’s elementary, junior and senior high contestants from 16 school teams competed in their skill in Jeju vernacularism. 11 teams went away with prizes from the contest.
