은수용·곽영숙 교수팀, 전문학술지 SCI 논문 게재
Research team of Profs Eun Soo Yong and Kwak Young Sook publishes in SCI journal

Professors Eun Soo Young, Kwak Young Sook and their research team members published their research in a prestigious SCI journal ‘Complementary Therapies in Medicine’ last month (May 2014).

The title of the paper is entitled ‘Modulatory effects of aromatherapy massage intervention on electroencephalogram, psychological assessments, salivary cortisol and plasma brain-derived neurotrophic factor’.

The study published reports on neurobiological implications of spa therapy on the basis of psychological evaluations, brain wave analysis, stress hormone monitoring, and expression profiles of brain nerve cell growth factors, etc.

This work is particularly significant in that the study provides a firm scientific foundation for spa therapy being actively developed by Jeju’s tourism industry.
