Prof. Chun Sung Soo wins outstanding award for industry-academic cooperation project

Professor Chun Sung Soo of the JNU Faculty of Industrial Design went away with a top prize for his industry-academic cooperation project at the Industry-Academic Research Hope Plus fair held in Imperial Palace Hotel, Seoul, earlier this week. He won the top award  among the 1500 industry-academic cooperation projects entered in the nationwide competition.

The prize winning work of Professor Chun involved a large scale production of Jeju's regionally design concepts  (product design for Jeju regional volcanic rock bed) while contributing to the enhancement of quality and brand name standards in mass production of the original design.

On the basis of Professor Chun's work, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Project affiliate Jeju Porcelain (Kim Young Soo, company CEO) plans to manufacture Professor Chun's design products for export to China.

Professor Chun has been instrumental for the JNU faculty of industrial design to win9 RedDot Awards; RedDot award represents an internationally highly respected design award.
