JNU alums Lee Ji Hoon and Hyun Eul Saeng get mayoral posts at Jeju and Seogwipo, respectively

JNU History graduate Lee Ji Hoon and Public Administration Graduate School alum Hyun Eul Saeng were appointed as the Mayor of Jeju and Seogwipo Cities, respectively, today (July 8, 2014). The appointments were made by the office of the newly elected Jeju Provincial Governor Won Hi Ryong.

The newly appointed mayor for the City of Jeju has been an NGO activist, especially in the area of environmental issues. Currently, he represents a social regional welfare foundation (Regional Hope Design Center).

Ms. Hyun takes up the mayoral post as the first woman for such an office in Jeju Island. She has been a government service employee in Seogwipo area.
