8th JDC global leadership training overseas internship program launched

This year's program supported by Jeju International Free City Development Center/Jeju Development Corporation (Kim Han Wook, Chairman of Board), global leadership training overseas internship (8th year and in USA and China this year), was launched last week (July 10, 2014). The program has been managed by Jeju National University under the sponsorship of Jeju Development Corporation.

The JDC overseas internship program aims to develop individual participants' global sense of personal perspectives for the future of Jeju International Free City through foreign language training and industrial internship experience overseas. The overseas internship trip began with Australia in 2007, followed by Canada and USA; some 83 Jeju students participated in the program so far, which has expanded to include China in 2012.

The 8th annual internship will be hosted by USA and China, 9 students each, who possess superior academic records and fluency in foreign language. The six month overseas stay will begin with departure on July 20, 2014, returning to Jeju in January next year.
