JNU Ocean Science Institute disseminates fertilized eggs of Jeju perch "Bookbarry"

Jeju National University Ocean Science Institute (Professor Lee Young Don, Director) supplied the fertilized eggs of Jeju perch Bookbarry; scientific name Epinephelus akaara to two Golden Seed (GSP) project affiliates Haeun Fisheries and Sebo Fisheries, respectively. The GSP project is a government funded program administered by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Food Evaluation Administration and implemented by the Jeju National University research institute.

GSP is a government program to achieve nation’s global competitiveness in commercially high valued seeds for export. The program has supported JNU's perch project.
