진성기 관장, '50년 모은' 소장품 무상 기증
Jeju Folk Museum Curator Jin Sung Ki donates half-century collections to JNU Museum

Jin Sung Ki, Head Curator, Jeju Folk Museum and graduate of the JNU Department of Korean Language and Literature, presented his 50 year collections of folk culture items, printed materials and books to Jeju National University free of charge.

Presentation of the collection to Jeju National University was formalized at a ceremony held in the conference room of the administration building.

Mr. Jin’s lifetime collection includes priceless items of Jeju’s traditional culture, and other folk heritage goods totaling over 30,000 pieces.

JNU President Huh Hyang Jin said at the presentation ceremony that the collection will be kept and displayed in a separate commemorative hall at the university’s central museum.
