Six hundred delegates from East Asia participate in One Asia Convention

Six hundred delegates from 200 academic institutions of 29 Asian countries including Korean faculty and students participate in One Asia Convention-2014. The conventioneers will discuss the ways and means of consolidating the Asian community.

The One Asia Foundation sponsored the annual convention while Jeju National University Asian Community Research Center organized the meeting held in Jeju Grand Hotel and on JNU campus.

The convention was first held in Tokyo in 2011, Incheon in 2012 and Indonesia in 2013.

Main theme of the meeting this year is "Asian Dream - The Education Toward a New Era of Asia" and attendance of Kim Jin Kyung from North Korea’s Pyungyang Science and Technology University attracts interest of the audience.

Jeju Governor Won Hee Ryong is expected to address the opening session.
