Jeju Vernacular Study Association plans scholarly meeting

Jeju Vernacular Study Association (Kang Jung Hee, President) has scheduled the 2014 semi-annual meeting in JNU College of Humanities Hall #1 on Tuesday (August 19, 2014).

The theme of the meeting is "Problems of Jeju Dialect." Kim Mi Jin (Instructor, JNU Department of Korean Language and Literature) will speak on the use of Jeju vernacular adverbs by different genders. Kim Bo Hyang of the same department is scheduled to speak on another topic.

Jeju Vernacular Study Association was established in 2009 with the primary goal of studying and using the dialect throughout the region.
