Man power supply mismatch in industry to be jointly tackled by JNU and Jeju Provincial Government

The shortage of employable personnel in small and medium size industries, so-called "mismatch" issue, in Jeju region is a serious employment problem and the three parties of industry, academics and government are getting together to help solve the problem.

Jeju Provincial Employment Center (Hyun Gil Ho, Director), JNU Strategic Headquarter on Recruiting (Lim Jae Yoon, Director) and Technology Holding Company (Hyun Myeong Taek, President) signed the collaborative agreement to jointly tackle the mismatch problem at a meeting last Friday (August 8, 2014).

Toward resolving the mismatch, the three parties agreed to work on: △Information exchange about jobs and industrial employers △ personnel training to custom-meet the needs of small and medium size industries △publicizing the nature of small and medium size businesses and mutual cooperation △making industry- and academy-owned equipment and facilities mutually accessible △ encouragement of superior personnel for employment within Jeju region and △prevention of employable personnel from leaving Jeju region.
