Biographic book "Passion and Insight-Kim Byung Taek's Scholarship and Life" published

To commemorate Korean Language and Literature Professor Kim Byung Taek’s retirement at the end of this month, his colleagues and students compiled a biographic collection of his works in the volume entitled "Passion and Insight-Kim Byung Taek's Scholarship and Life."

Professor Kim has achieved distinguished scholarship as a literary writer and critique since his first critical essay appeared in “Modern Literature”(현대문학) in 1978. The book was compiled and edited by his former student Yang Young Gil (Principal, Jungmun Junior High School) and his colleague at Jeju National University Kim Dong Yoon, himself an established literary critique.

Professor Kim Byung Taek is scheduled to deliver his last lecture in the College of Humanities Hall #1 Seminar Room on August 28, 2014. His talk is entitled “Generation of Literary Art Trend and Disintegration,” and each attendee will be presented with a copy of the above biographic volume (list price ~ 20,000 won) free of charge.
