김동휘·문경미씨, 학술연구 우수상
Kim Dong Hwi and Moon Kyung Mi each won superior research presentation award

Kim Dong Hwi of the JNU Graduate Department of Marine Bioscience and Moon Kyung Mi of the same department came away with superior research presentation awards from the 55th Korean Society of Life Science  International Conference held in Busan Alpina Hotel Convention Hall last month (August 28~29, 2014). Their research was supervised by Professor Huh Moon Soo.

Predoctoral fellow Kim’s award winning paper dealt with anti-inflammatory activity against Bacillus amloliquefaciens JFP-2 and studied its immune responses in flounders. Moon’s masters research paper (poster) was concerned with a rapid diagnostic method for Streptococcus parauberis.

Their research at Jeju National University has received financial support from the National Research Foundation of Korea. Professor Huh complimented them by saying that their research significantly contribute to the development of flounder industry here in Jeju and elsewhere.
