Tamla Cultural Research Institute gets grant for humanity program

280 million won 3-year grant to expedite research on "dolharubang"(Jeju's symbolic stone granpa)

"Jeju fashioned humanities city" contemplated through lectureship, festival and publication program

Jeju National University Tamla Cultural Research Institute (Professor Kim Dong Yoon, Director) was awarded a 3-year grant of 280 million won by National Research Foundation to support the work related to the 2014 Humanities City program.

The main theme of the research program is entitled "Dolharubang goes to town via olleh path". The goal of the project is to come up with a proposal to establish a Jeju-style humanities city here in Jeju province.

To help establish the humanities city concept for Jeju, the institute plans to have humanities lectureship and experiencing, festival, and weekly publication, etc.
