Environmental Health Center "Mom's Mam Club" campaigns to fight atopi

Mothers of children afflicted with atopi formed the awareness group "Mom's Mam" with the support of Jeju National University School of Medicine Environmental Health Center (Hong Sung Cheol, Director).

Mothers of the atopi afflicted children get together to understand the dermatologic symptom, share the stress and distress associated with their children's painful cases and learn how to better cope with the allergic disease.

The mom's group has been meeting monthly since March of this year. In these meetings, the members had opportunities to ask questions to the dermatologists about atopi, consulted with the doctors, prepared recipes for atopi afflicted children learned to make natural humidifiers, and discussed other medically useful information.

The Environmental Health Center plans to run another group for next year.
