Jeju National University (JNU) is publicly collecting JNU-related documentary heritage until April 30, marking the 70th anniversary of the school’s opening this year.

The donations will be accepted from private collectors, such as Jeju residents, university alumni members, and more.

The collection targets include all data, photographs, natural items, souvenirs, audiovisual records, publications, and recordings, which are deemed to reflects the university history at any moment between the 1952 opening of the school and the present.

JNU will utilize selected collections as materials for the JNU History Hall and publications. By principle, the donations will be received at no cost. Doners will be presented a variety of benefits, including donation certificates, souvenirs, name labels for collections on display, and invitation to special events.

A JNU official said: “The university collects and accepts records related to the school for the purpose of preserving the documents that will otherwise be lost, marking the 70th anniversary of its opening. We would appreciate it if our columni members and residents will show keen interest and actively participate in our efforts.”

Those who intend to make donations are asked to contact the person in charge by e-mail (minervaf@jejunu.ac.kr) or the university’s Division of General Affairs (JNU History Hall 064-754-8224, 8227).
