Prof. Kim Chul Soo elected as 7th Faculty Senate President

Professor Kim Chul Soo, Department of Computational Statistics, was elected as 7th Faculty Senate President in the latest election.

He got 315 votes out of 403 valid voters' ballots, gaining 78.2% of the voters.

Professor Lee Chang Joon was the runner up, getting 21.8% of the votes.

The newly elected president earned his degrees from Jeju National University (BS in Mathematics Education), and both his masters and doctorate from Yonsei University. He served the deanship of the JNU College of Natural Science, among other posts he held at Jeju National University.

He campaigned on the promises of △justified responses to University Support Fund accounting and government service workers pension revision △education and research improvement △cooperation and check in university development and faculty rights △communication and conciliatory program.
