Dr. Lee Seung Eun wins superior research presentation prize

Dr. Lee Seung Eun (photo left) of the JNU Center for Stem Cell Research (Professor Park Se-Pill, Director) presented a research paper (“Pig fibrous cell transformants for the production of Alzheimer disease animal models”) at the 14th International Symposium on Developmental Engineering held at Seoul National University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences last Friday (October 24, 2014) and came away with a superior presentation prize.

The prize winning work was supervised by Professor Park Se-Pill of JNU Center for Stem Cell Research and Director Kim Eun Young of Mirae Cell Bio. It has important implications in understanding the mechanism and treatment of human Alzheimer’s disease. Professor Park’s research team received funding (1.5 billion won) for 5 years from the government agency and Jeju Provincial Government for the project.
