Dr. Chung Yong Bok earns young scholar's superior presentation award

Dr. Chung Yong Bok, Team Leader in Journalism, and Media program, won the 2014 Young Scholar's Superior Presentation Award at the Korean Society of Journalism annual meeting held in Korea University last week (October 18, 2014).

His award winning paper presented at the meeting was entitled "Media repertory and societal participation in Jeju." It received the highest acclaim among the young scholars' presentations by both the audience and judges. Over 1200 journalism scholars and professionals participated in the oldest journalism society (established in 1959) in Korea.

The winner earned his journalism doctorate degree from Hanyang University just this summer (August 2014) and has joined the JNU staff after a new years of contributing jobs at several Jeju communication services.
