Prof. Chun Yoo Jin awarded Ottugi Scholarly Prize
Jeju National University announced today (October 10, 2014) that Professor Chun Yoo Jin of the JNU College of Ocean Science Faculty of Marine Biomedical and Life Science won 11th Ottugi Scholarly Prize for his research achievements. The prize comes with a stipend of 30 million won.
Professor Chun has made many contributions to the field of functional marine food over the last 24 years.
During his 12 year tenure at Jeju National University, he authored five books and published numerous research papers. He has 24 patents to his credit.
Ottugi Foundation established in 1996 in honor of Hon. Chairman Ham Tae Ho of Ottugi Food to recognize outstanding research contributors. The foundation awards two such prizes annually one of which was presented to Professor Chun this year.
