Prof. Kim Jung Hong performed 1000 tonsillectomy cases at JNU Hospital

The JNU Hospital (Kang Sung Ha, Hospital Director) announced today (November 19, 2014) that1000 cases of tonsillectomy have been performed at the hospital by Professor Kim Jung Hong of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) since the hospital opened.

Tonsil removal surgery is an effective tool to treat children's mouth breathing, snoring, stuffy nose and sleep impairment, etc.

Tonsillectomy is also used for treating ozena, halifosis (foul breath) and a number of other problems. Professor Kim emphasized the importance of early diagnosis before tonsillectomy is needed.
