85% of JNU students enrolled receive scholarship benefits

Jeju National University disclosed last Monday (November 24, 2014) that 8 out of 10 JNU students currently enrolled receive some form of scholarships.

Nearly 60% of each scholarship recipient is paid for through tuition waiver.

During the 2013 academic year, 8,564 (85%) out of 10,922 students received some form of scholarships.

An individual stipend average was 2,235,700 won in academic year 2013 and is expected to amount to 2,242,000 won (equivalent to 59.3% tuition waiver) this academic year.
