Prof. Ko Young Cheol installed as first president of Jeju Journalism Society

Jeju Journalism Society was established to serve the journalism community in Jeju region.

The society is comprised primarily of journalists from Jeju National University, Halla University and other regional universitie. It aims to facilitate scholastic exchanges among the journalistic professionals at both regional/domestic and international levels.

At the initiation meeting of the society, Professor Ko Young Cheol of Jeju National University Department of Journalism and Public Relations was elected to serve as its first president.

The new journalism society aims to work toward △ academic research and survey of regional journism, communication and media affairs △ planning of journalistic advances and industry-academic cooperation △ publication of study periodicals △conferences and seminars △ education in journalism, communication, media education program, etc △ exchange of materials and information △ promotion of free press.
