㈜제주반도체, 장학금 2500만원 전달…17년째 지원

JSC contributes to JNU’s development for 17 consecutive years

Jeju Semiconductor Corp. (JSC), a supplier of total solutions for memory semiconductors, recently delivered a total of 25 million won in scholarships to 10 students majoring in electronic and communication engineering at Jeju National University (JNU). The company is a corporate participant of the Jeju Semiconductor Track of the Innovation Center for Engineering Education.

JSC has contributed scholarships to the university’s talent incubation for 17 consecutive years since 2005.

The company operates the Jeju Semiconductor Track of the Innovation Center for Engineering Education, jointly with the JNU Department of Electronic Engineering. The participants of the program include students from the electronic and communication engineering departments, who are trained to provide customized human resources for industries. The program has taken root as a successful industry-academic cooperation model with a virtuous cycle structure where students receive scholarships, practical training, and internship experiences, while companies are provided with excellent human resources.

JSC is the only Korean “fabless” foundry provider, which specializes in the design and development of the manufacturing processes of developing and manufacturing memory semiconductors for mobile applications such as mobile phones.
