The donation is aimed at publicizing JNU’s development status on the 70th anniversary of its foundation, wishing for the university’s bigger leap forward. Simultaneously, the poem celebrates the 40th anniversary of the advancement of the school’s status as a university, the poet explained..

Kim started his career by publishing his earlier works in Practical Literature in 1982. His literary collections include a poetry collection “Homo Masks,” a Jeju 4·3-themed poetry collection “Where Flowers Fell,” and a prose collection “A Place Farther than the Moon”.
