Stem cell Prof. Park develops local cattle-based cosmetics

Jeju National University’s Stem Cell Research Center and Mirae Cell Bio Corp. will jointly launch a cosmetic product “Black Pla,” Jeju National University (JNU) announced Friday (Jan. 28).
The product contains hydrolyzed cow placenta extract of Jeju’s indigenous black cattle and human andipocyte conditioned media, which were added to the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook by Mirae Cell Bio.
Prof. Park Se-pil, a world-renowned stem cell specialist at JNU, and Mirae Cell Bio’s researchers worked together to commercialize the extract using cutting-edge technologies.
Black Pla is a brand that has created biosynthesis by adding regenerative cells to the placenta, a protective membrane of life. It was developed to provide healthy aesthetic improvement and skin vitality by adding abundant nutrition from Jeju black cattle (Natural Monument) placenta and physiologically activating ingredients of stem cell culture.
Hydrolyzed cow placenta extract of Jeju’s indigenous black cattle is a specialized raw material developed by Prof. Park’s research team and Mirae Cell Bio through the performance of the national research projects funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (IPET).
