Western Vegetables-Cosmetics Cluster Projects to collaborate

The Jeju National University Western Vegetables RIS Project (Professor Lim Sang Bin, Department of Food Biotechnology, Project Leader) signed the agreement with Jeju TP-Cosmetics Cluster Project (Kim Ki Ok, Project Leader) for collaborative work on marketing of Jeju winter radishes.
Jeju’s radish harvest accounts for 33.9% of the nationwide production, but its market has been limited over the recent years, primarily due to a distribution problem inherent in the island location.
The bilateral agreement aims at promoting the radish markets through the development of processed products and related marketing strategies.
