JNU Hospital rooftop readied for ambulatory helicopters

Jeju National University Hospital (Kang Sung Ha, Hospital Director) now has its rooftop ready to receive and transport emergency patients.

The newly constructed heliport is located on the cancer center rooftop with an area of 27.2m×27.2m. The rooftop is constructed with aluminum decks and it weighs only 1/5 of the helicopter. The lighter heliport is safer and less weight burden on the building than is the conventional heliport constructed with asphalt and concrete.
