JNU 9988231 team picked for portfolio SNS Welldone.to program

Four JNU students are getting attention for their being picked for Job.Korea’s Welldone.to Global Frontier program.

The Job.Korea Welldone.to Global Frontier program aims at providing opportunities for the Korean students to experience overseas cultural, historical, scientific, and technological attributes and promote their global leadership development. The program in its 11th year of implementation has financially supported over 600 students for their overseas cultural visits.

Kim Kyung Wan (Management), Kang Joon Bo (Sociology), Choi Hee Young (Elementary Education) and Ko Bong Kyoon (Management) making up Team “9988231” managed to pass a competitive screening procedure for the final 15 teams.

The JNU team plans to leave for England shortly where the members will be studying the tele-care program to combat the elders’ “die-lonely” conditions. To implicate team’s specific interest in the aging society problems and their solutions, team name 9988231 conveys meaning of “live until 99 actively (pal pal=88)” and “sick for 2, 3 days” before rising (1) again. Their experience in England will be uploaded in the portfolio SNS Welldone.to for other students to access and participate.
